Bad day for my integra:(
oh mann... lets say ive ruined my day now, well this is what happend today i was getting on it today First i grinded my 2nd gear bad..
also i misshifted from 4th to 2nd ....and my whole car jerked forward and i know i went over the 8....i could of sworn i was done for my car was over with
but i let it roll for a second and poped it in 4th.... it drove home fine drives fine idles fine, but im now worried my motors is trash, this has happend 3 times now.but this is to be the worst ...it didnt let me get in to 4th so i tried to force it and it some how slid in to 2nd..........i wanted to go lsvtec but now i think i should just get a whole new motor........what do you think...
What damage should i be looking for, did i loose and hp from this kind of misshift

What motor is this? You went over the 8? Meaning you revved over 8k RPM's? If your motor isnt built for over 8k RPMs you could have floated the valves. How long was it over revved before you took it out of gear?

1. Pull valve cover and visually inspect condition of valve retainers/keepers.
2. Compression test on all cylinders.
3. Leak-down test on all cylinders.
4. Pray nothing was damaged

its an LS motor 1.8 b18a1
i could of sworn it went over the 8 marker, it wasnt long...but long enough to jerk my whole car forward....i poped it right in to gear right after and it drove fine...starts fine....idles fine...im just worried i ****ed it up.....i was just about to get a new vtec head but im thinking just get a new motor. im already getting a new tranny, but **** i hate to abuse my car. i never redline my car so to over rev/misshift it bothers me.........
