when installing JE's, question on PTW clearance, and Oil squirters
I have 10.0:1 JE pistons and I am running them in a gsr block with a b16 head. I have a gsr crank as well, and I was doing research that if you use the stock oil squirters that the JE pistons will hit against them ? Can anybody clarify this for me ?
Also on one of my cylinders my Piston to Wall clearance seems to be a little off, it's at about .006. Is that too much of a clearance for one of the pistons ? I heard JE's you have to run a larger Piston to Wall clearance.
Here is my build thread for you guys to get a little more familiar with the setup I am doing.

Why is your p2w off only on one cylinder? What is the p2w on the other cylinders? How much HP are you shooting for? Id say .006" is way to much unless its going to be a strait race motor with high boost. You will be FI correct?
Well I got the block like that, and it hasn't been machined. I kinda don't have the machine to go through the whole machining process and get another set of pistons, so I kinda want to put things on the way they are at right now.
So your doing this build and the block hasnt even been machined? Ive heard of people running them that loose but like I said thats track only cars with high boost/hp. If it does work youll more then likely have tons of piston slap. I wouldn't run it like that id take it to the machine shop and get new pistons. Ill be running .004" on my b18c5 going for 4-500hp
Should have just asked this question in your build thread. Now you will have information fragmented all over the boards and no one reading the build will get the real details of your builds. People that may have questions will never know exactly what problems you had and how you overcame them.
I heard rumors about JE pistons that making more room for them is a revelant option because of the fact they need more room due to their thermal expansion ? I was reading on this one 4g63 forum that guys didn't have a problem running them at about that clearance.
