Default My 94 Civic Cx hatchback build

OK here is the story on the car...
I had found the car on Craigslist for $1,500, i called and the guy said he woud take $1,300 for it.
I live in Fresno, Ca and the car was in Mariposa, CA
I drove 1hr up to the snow and found it and was amazed at how clean it was.
The car is all original except for the wheels and a muffler.
The block had a cracked sleeve so i thought "Full build project car + BARED swap"

This is what I've got done so far...

I HAD ALREADY PULLED THE ENGINE AND PRESSURE WASHED EVRYTHING

THIS IS WHERE IVE PULLED THE DASH AND ALL COMPONETS TO COMPLETELY CLEAN EVERYTHING TO REMOVE ALL DUST AND TO PREP FOR THE FULL ENGINE WIRE TUCK (NO BRAKE LINES THOUGH)

ALL THE LOOM AND SHRINK WRAP I NEED FOR FULL WIRE TUCK

SORRY NO PICS OF THE PASSANGER HEADLIGHT HARNESS BECAUSE I COULDNT REMOVE IT FROM THE CAR
#FYI I ONLY EXTENDED A TOTAL OF 5 WIRES TO DO THE FULL HEADLIGHT TUCK ON BOTH SIDES.

HERE I HAVE PREPARED EVERYTHING TO REPIN AND BUILD MY OWN WIRING HARNESS OUT OF A STOCK SOHC VTEC HARNESS

REMOVED AL THE ORIGINAL LOOM. TOOK 2 HOURS FML

THEN I CAME ACROSS THIS DEAL, $700 FOR A COMPLETE B16A2 BLOCK WITH CLEAN PAPERS. NO TRANNY THOUGH
I AM CURRENTLY REPLACING ALL GASKETS AND SENSORS WITH OEM HONDA PARTS
(WILL HAVE THOSE PICS UP SOON)
[/B]

THIS WAS THE HARD PART THOUGH...SINCE I'M TRYING TO BAR THE CAR I WOULD NEED TO BAR IT AS A 1995 B16 DEL-SOL SO I HAD TO FIND A B16A3 USDM B16 DEL-SOL INTAKE MANIFOLD. AFTER A MONTH OF SEARCHING I FOUND IT FOR $200 ON THE INTERNED SHIPPED FROM NEW YORK

THEN I DECIDED TO SPEND A LITTLE MORE $$ AND GOT A FULL B-SERIES 99-00 SI DISC CONVERSION AND A REAR LOWER BEAKS BAR WHICK WILL BE POWDERCOATED WHITE LATER
#HAD TO GET THE BIG TOE IN THERE LOL

THEN I DECIDED I WAS GOING TO CLEAN THE CARPETS AND THE FLOOR BOARD UNDER NEATH SINCE I HAD SOME DOWN TIME.
(I WILL GET THE AFTER CLEANING CARPET PICS UP SOON)

BEFORE CLEANING FLOOR BOARDS

AFTER THE CLEANING

I HAD A LITTLE CASH SO I PICKED UP THE FULL EG6 TAIL LIGHT CONVERSION AND A CLEAN BLACK CARGO COVER

SMOKED BACKUP LIGHT

NO REFLECTOR ON THE CORNER

AND THE CARGO COVER

I WILL KEEP UPDATES...THIS IS IT FOR NOW, STILL HAVE A LOT MORE TO DO AND A LOT MORE $$ TO SPEND.
THANKS FOR LOOKING

Its going to be a complete show car that I can drive places. I will admit its a lot of work, but it's woth it in the long run.
The reason for this build is because NO ONE here in Fresno, Ca has a super clean civic.
Hopefully It makes a magazine when it's all done.

This is my daily driver though lol
just needs paint

The holes I used for the headlight harnesses are the same holes used in the Ex and Si models for the sun roof water drain hoses. I used the ex/Si rubber seals for the hoses to run the loom through

I think im just gonna go a darker red on the coupe because I really dont feel like painting the jams on it and for some reason I have a feeling that I will paint the coupe after I get the Hatch done.
But I am going to do a headlight harness tuck on the coupe just for the hell of it.

Nice build so far! Extensive cleaning like mine, well sorta, maybe a little less on my part. I'm doing a b16a swap too! But a 1991 b16a with b18a1 block, so I guess it's a little different. Same colour hatches though, good luck man, from one EG builder to another. Good work so far.

Thanks man. Just trying to show Fresno what a clean *** car is about. Ls vtec, not bad. If we didnt have BAR here i would go bigger with the engine but to BAR the B16a2 as an OBD1 del-sol engine is going to be a challenge its self. If you have a build thread shoot it my way. Would like to see some more EG builds going on.

Havent posted any activity on this car...
THIS HATCH WAS SOLT JUST AFTER FINISHING THE HEADLIGHT TUCK. SOLD FOR $1500 AND BOUGHT A CLEAN TITLE COMPLETELY ORIGINAL 1995 HONDA CIVIC EX SEDAN. AUTOMATIC, THAT I CONVERTED TO 5 SPEED AND FULL WIRE TUCK
