Default 98 civic - bad idle for ~30 seconds after start up

sometimes when i go to start my car it will start up and idle perfectly fine .. but then other times ill go to start it and it will start but have a terribly bad idle for about 30 sec than catch the idle back up to speed .. kinda like its choked out of gas .. when it idles like this the car shakes real hard .. hard to explain but the car putts sometimes when starting .. i dont see how this could be a fuel problem unless its the pump itself .. i run premium gas everytime since i had engine work done about a month ago

Is there by any chance you tune the car by yourself by using aftermarket engine management like HONDATA, Chrome, etc

"The internet" is very vague. Where specifically did you buy it? Yes, if it's running a custom tune, that might be your problem.

Probably Ebay or Craigslist. Did it run with the stock ECU?

Try to run it with stock ecu first and see how it goes.
