Hey guys,
My main goal at the beginning of the year was to liquidate my collection and get down to two cars or so. One being a nice daily and the other being PY.
I have managed to sell off most of my toys and I am left with PY & my turbo Ek. I have always wanted to own a NSX, Supra or a M5. I also pondered picking up another c5 z06 or E46 M3 but I've already owned those before.
I reverted back to my comfort zone and picked up a Spa Yellow S2k from my buddy and I was in love. This was my 3rd s2k and by far the best one. It came with the oem hardtop and it had my CCW's on it. The car was extremely low and I was always worried to drive it around afraid of ruining the wheels. My friend that bought my Black R asked to buy it so I decided to let it go only after 2 weeks of owning it because my ultimate goal was a NSX or something new.
A local craigslist ad came up for a Lemans Blue m5
I thought to myself, am I really considering a 4 door right now? Then I remembered, 400hp 6spd luxury sedan .... yeahhhh, I want that ! lol. A few hours later, she was all mine and PY had a new friend !
* I will say that the M5 is super comfortable and has a great deal of power when you push the Sports button. I'm very happy with my decision as I need something with AC for the Texas summer that is still fun to drive around. This one came with the Black/Blue interior which some people like/hate but I enjoy it a lot more than the carmel interior.
** If I find a nsx, that will be my next move but I'm happy right now ... we will see how long that lasts ** lol

Thanks guys - I just washed her for the first time and it felt great.
About to clean the interior and maybe I"ll snap some pics w/ my Canon.

Nice find! Hold onto your hat when it comes to maintenance prices. A good friend just took his '08 M5 to the dealer for a oil change. Requires 10qts of BMW 10-60 synthetic @ $18qt.
Nice choice! I will be buying a Cosmos Black E36 M3 coupe when I return to the states! Love Bimmers, my favorite German autos with Porsche a close 2nd. You've sertainly had several nice vehicles! E39 is definitely an upgrade from a Civic.

i was waiting to get to the bottom ot say something about the gas!!
Its an amazing car and super powerful and certainly one of the "ultimate driving machines" as BMW states..
BUT THE GAS MILEAGE.... omg... putt puttin youll get 12-14!!!... mashin it...bah... dont even want to think about it...
takin it easy with an occasional push on the throttle gets me about 15mpg in the S8.... -______-
