Hey,

My girlfriends car is acting up, when the car is in reverse, and the wheel is turned to the right, the car makes a weird mechanical screeching, almost like a power steering pump, but is coming from the right hand side, and only happens in reverse, with throttle applied, and the wheel to the lock.

Any ideas? Its an 09 civic automatic 2 door, not an si.

my sister gets the same sound, my shop told me that either its the power steering needs more liquid or the physical part doesnt have enough grease - nothing to major.

 

for her car, was it only in reverse? and did it seem like it was coming from the drivers side?

 

for her it was any time we turned the steering wheel all the way
