importparts can get you the piping for 450

are you putting this on a f22 or h22?

i got my h22 up and running now
just have to weld my custom mandrel bent exhaust (the kit i sell)
and put in axels and go.

i ll have my drag kit in three weeks

i think u should keep ur steering wheel for the airbag ofcourse. when the pipes comes r u gonna do the install yourself. i just put in the diy map limiter and 450cc injectors untill i save up for a standalone.

KTeller8, i was supposed to get the rest of the custom DRAG kit from dave shih, who is another authorized dealer for DRAG i guess... it doesn't matter if i get the piping, etc., from importparts or dave shih cause it's still coming from the same place-DRAG... so i'm assuming it's going to take the same ridiculous wait and hear some more BS along the way... accord and prelude kits seem to take forever... but the reason i got a manifold and downpipe from somewhere else was to try and speed up the shipping time on the DRAG shiet... anyway, this is actually going on a F22B1 on my 94 accord... (if i ever get the rest of a turbo kit)...

rrei, for some reason i'm into 5Zigen... got 5Zigen Fireball rims, catback exhaust, and about to get their racing floor plates in soon also... so when i heard that the 5Zigen steering wheel was discontinued, i looked on 5Zigen's website's list of dealers since my supplier and 5Zigen USA didn't have any in stock... so i began calling every shop in CA till i found one left in stock and ordered that shiet like a ****... i know i'm being young and stupid for getting an aftermarket steering wheel that doesn't have an airbag but it's too late now-i'm definitely putting the steering wheel on and taking out the cruise control and airbag... when the pipes do come in i'll probably let one of the shops i am tight with to do the install... it would probably be a learning experience to do it myself but for about three grand worth of parts, i don't feel like screwing the first time and messing things up...

funny how some cars didn't come with airbags but when cars come with airbags and you want to take them out, it's illegal... anyway, i'm not the only crazy one...

that steering wheel is IDENTICAL to my Momo "race" wheel on my Rustang, except mines silver.

edit: i hate airbags and have removed them from every car i've owned. whos the govt to tell me how I own my car anyway. I had an airbag deploy on me in a 2mph fender bender (i **** you not) and it broke my wrist due to it slamming my arm so hard against the door glass. meanwhile i got into a nasty headon accident 3 years ago and the airbags did NOT deploy... so.. they can bite me.

... oh yah no to mention the one where it broke my wrist it about ruined the suit i was wearing because of all the powder.

edit2: eh i guess it is different nevermind

That's not entirely correct. I asked a cop face to face about it and he said it's not illegal, but added immediately "why would you want to?" I then explained I have racing harnesses and that "shut him up". I've also heard that it IS NOT illegal for an owner to remove an airbag steering wheel but it IS ILLEGAL for a shop to do so. I guess this goes just for CA?

Added: BTW, nice setup. Hope you get your stuff from DRAG ASAP......

Its a federal law. your Good ol' uncle sam knows better than you do and he says that you must keep the airbag in the car. 2 exceptions. if you convert the car to a race car, ie do not put tags on it, you can remove them. the other case is if you get an exception. you have to pretty much be a 4ft tall woman to get one though

GimpyAccord, very nice..! if i wasn't able to get my hands on a 5Zigen steering wheel, the Momo Race was next on my list... oh yea, question for you about when you got the steering wheel... did it come with all the allen bolts, etc..? cause mine just came with the horn button, some small little unit thingy, and the steering wheel itself... i know i need to get a Momo hub adaptor but i don't think those come with the necessary bolts..?

TeamDynasty91AccordEX, thanks... prelude and accord kits from DRAG is ******* ridiculous... i won't get it until they find a needle in the hay... i'm expecting a refund from them soon... i'll probably have to do an entire custom setup like get an A'PEXi intercooler core, custom intercooler piping, oil line kit, etc...

niedejb, you're right... i'm already driving with a test/straight pipe and on top of that i'm going to add a turbo kit to the car... so much for emissions... as for the steering wheel, i will get racing seats and racing harnesses at some point...

edit: spelling errors

Uncle sam knows jackshit IMO.

accordexchange: yes my wheel did come with the 6 allen bolts, a horn button (with the momo logo) and a trim ring... and the momo hub adapter i bought for my Ford did NOT come with any bolts what-so-ever. I had to reuse the old bolt from the original wheel (which i wasnt supprised about). I suspect you'll be able to find those 6 allen screws at a hardware store.
