00 civic si turbo build. HELP!!!!
Ok so I picked up my 00 civic ebp em1 just about a year ago now it has 160k miles on it and is pretty much stock light up grades skunk 2 mega power exhaust and a cold air intake. Just recently I noticed that it has been burning alot of oil and decided that it's time to rebuild the motor I'm wanting to go forced induction but want to keep everything such as power steering and ac money is some what of an issue but not much as of now I have about 3k to put into the build and turbo.
So far what I have been thinking is going weisco pistons eagle rods 9:1 compression forged then race balancing the crank doing gsr cams blox or skunk 2 cam gears acl race bearings arp head studs skunk 2 intake manifold 550cc injectors. What I'm looking to do is have a really fun reliable dd. any input would help out great head work what to do for the bottom end and turbo set ups

If you gonna dd it don't waste your money on an intake mani and balancing the crank blah blah. Get a nice turbo kit. New injectors, head gasket and arp studs. Compression test it and boost it stock. If this is your 1st build then take it in baby steps before you blow 3k and end up with poop
Thanks for the help I forgot to mention I will be going p28 obd1 and running with chrome I have a local shop and the guy is really good with tuning but specific parts would help like what parts and brands for valve train and bottom end and turbo
This is not my first build or turbo set up I don't wana leave it stock cause I'll end up rebuilding it anyways like I said I'm looking for fast reliability

But. But. But. This is NOT your first turbo build? I didn't have to ask anyone's opinion on anything when I boosted my car. I just found a build with the horsepower I wanted that met all my other criteria and pretty much copied that.
hey grumble havent seen u give anyone a blast of **** in awhile lol, hows it goin. like he said u need a power goal before anyone can really help u with anything, with a 550 cc injector its gonna be about 350hp give or take so if u want more than that theres your first upgrade.
sorry I didnt put my hp goal its 300-350hp and please keep your negative comments to yourself I didnt post this to be haggled just for informative information im not used to building b series just d series I havnt been able to pick out a turbo cause im trying to figure out which one would work best for trying to keep my a/c intact
The turbo is not the mitigating factor for retention of A/C with your power goal, the manifold is, so your your reasoning is rather flawed. So with that small of a power goal you can use a log or cast manifold. Also for the power you want to make building the block is pretty much wasted as it can handle the median of that power goal stock. Keeping A/C will also limit your options.
If you don't want the negative comments try actually doing some research and not asking people to spoonfed you answers to questions you should already know the answers to. ESPECIALLY of this isn't your first turbo build. D-series or not.
Pick one.

its not so much the turbo that allows u to keep your accessories but the manifold, look into the cast manifolds or tubular log, even some of the ramhorns are clocked for power steering and a/c. check out goautoworks.com, full race, spoolin performance and get some ideas.
ya I know the block could prob handle it but the motor already has 160k on it so I would like to get another 100k if you know what I mean so it seams like now would be a good time to build it and that helps out just incase I decide running a different rout and wanting to do more hp

well if I was to run weisco pistons eagle rods gsr cams and am looking to run around 8psi and maybe switch the injectors up to 1000cc and a 255 walbro so i can run e85 about how much hp do you think that would set it at. Im just looking for something quick and reliable that I can drive daily with no prob so if its better to build the engine I would prefer to just do it while im doin the turbo set up if you know what im saying
thats pretty impresive what motor are you running. its all about the tune tuning is everything when it comes to the motor like I said in the post its burning oil really bad and smokes when I get on it do you think its valve guides or oil rings
8PSI on what? You haven't even picked a turbo yet so WTF does 8PSI mean? Nothing!!! 1000cc injectors? For what? E85? For what? Now it sounds like you're just pipe dreaming with no clue.
Then it's not healthy. You would be smart to rebuild it but for a measly 300hp? I would still say it's a waste. To keep A/C and boost your options will be limited. Keep that in mind.
well from what I have looked at I really like the go autoworks log manifold to keep the a/c so what turbo would you suggest I will do a compression test tomorrow and figure out what its at. sorry about some of my posts I have done like 2 turbo builds before and done D-series so just wasnt guided right alot of people where I live say running e85 is a better way to go and better to tune on
