Default engine swap...

any body know if you can swap tl/cl type S engine into a 5th generation accord? what about the 91-95 engine? can they go into the 5th gen. also? no need for.."with enough money you can" and stuff like that.. i am planning to do this kind of swap. everyone seems to go with the H22, but i want to have more torque. thanks!

Go turbo if you want torque.

You'll put down more torque than an H22 and CL type S with less investment.

BTW, the type s swap into the 1st gen CL is a pain in the ***. Requires cutting of the hood, stand alone ecu, and just about everything custom

means he wants to do things the hard way and be an *** bout it.

Dude go h22, you will stay in somewhat OEM reliabiligy. its not to hard to swap, half the lude stuff is interchangeable with accords anyways...

FI is out of the ?--- well thats ok just look to run bout 200-230 all your life.

turbocharging the engine will make it less reliable and i dont want to risk it. i don't like stressing the engine out, and especially with passenger and a 200lbs audio system, i'm going to need more than the H22. i know its more easier to swap, it its just not my choice.

any car will have OEM reliability in stock form.. what is your point of getting a kia? not the most reliable thing to own.

Try 10 not 5 grand. The engine and standalone themselves would eat most of the 5 grand.

So as a said before. Take the rest of the money you have saved and get yourself a even better stereo or maybe get some screens or something else.

to a certian extent yes, if you do band-aid style engine management yes, if you do it done properly with a stand alone there will be no problems

i don't like stressing the engine out,
then dont drive it

an h22 would be nice, but i don't think the torque and torque curve will be enough to propel the 3800lbs+ car though traffic fast enough.

go buy a Chevy Suburban with the 8.1L Vortech engine then, and quit bugging us.

then you should have bought something with a v8, the nature of every 4 cylinder motor is that it makes its bulk torque and power higher in the rpms. You must understand the nature of this beast. You can coerce some more displacement out of the motor its just a matter of funds and patience
