Icon3 97 Ex: Shin Etsu Grease also for power windows?

Sup all!
1997 Ex

The windows roll up at different speeds and the driver side is much too slow. Someone on a different forum recommended Shin Etsu grease but when I looked it up, its recommended for door seals and the sliding door on an Odyssey.

Would this also help my windows speed up and lubricate the wires? If there is another product that would help grease them up let me know please. Thanks!

Yes, in the "run channels" for the windows.....not sure what you mean by "the wires"?

"DarkCreep" on another forum?

The "wires" are the ones that pull the window up and down. Accords dont use scissors like Civics :/

Yeah im DarkCreep on a ton of other forums, this is my little brothers account. What forum do you know me from?

I got the same issue. Not sure if its the motor for the elevator or if its the switch itself. it does slow down significantly when the ignition is on acc. The last time I had the panel off, I didn't notice any grease in the connector. it could be that the elevator is going or you could try to grease the rollers to see if that works. I believe its lithium grease for the rollers.

There is no "rollers" in your door. It is a vertical track that two cables connect to. The window is bolted to the track.[URL="http://http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/auto/jsp/mws/prddisplay.jsp?inputstate=5&catcgry1=ACCORD&catcgr y2=1997&catcgry3=4DR+EX+%28LEATHER%29&catcgry4=KA4 AT&catcgry5=FRONT+DOOR+WINDOW"]

Since the window is bolted to the elevator, any suggestions or ideas on how to correct the operation? I have noticed that the interior lights dim when closing the window. It doesn't happen very often.

That probably has to do with your grounds.

Has anyone used the grease before?

This forum suggests to use a silicone spray in the window runners. No brand mentioned.
