my car dies after 5.5k

p.s. Post a copy of your tune and if possible a datalog of this problem occuring.
yeah i just got tuned yesterday but when i got there i threw code 22 i think thats my pressure switch but he deleted the code from the p28 because it doesnt come up only when i connect my stock ecu and no internal workk all i have is skunk2 70mm tb and im dc headers aem short ram intake ... i still want to do a compression test to see hows it looking because he said im making only 125 whp??!? and i trust the guy he does tunes all the time he does all my friends cars and they make nice power maybe he tuned it wrong?? but then again i get a code 22 with my stock ecu ? could that pressure switch make my numbers drop on dyno because he said once vtec kicks in its where my power drops and yes my idle drops down and dies
also when i put my stock ecu in and i can rev it past 5.5k and does not die at all only when im using the tuned ecu if it helps i have no vacume leaks or anythnig and we tried cleaning the screen on the solenoids
umm...I believe you have your answer.
But what motor is it? which version of hondata?
I believe that since your stock ECU is throwing a code, you have a problem. Your tuned ECU probably has that error code "over-ridden" to not throw that code. Check your parameters, it's probably under the "vtec" tab. Uncheck the box I think I am thinking of..(LOL)..and I bet your chipped ECU with throw the code too.
As for the dying, that is probably a symptom of tuning an ECU while the motor is not running 100% correctly. He tuned it to compensate for something not working..it is probably wayyy to rich or lean when you let off. That, and I bet he didn't finish tuning your full basemap so dying is gonna happen until he finishes.

^^^correction..under "vtec" the checkbox says: "VTEC oil pressure switch enabled". There should be a check there, I do believe...lol
I stick to my guns..if the stock ecu says you have a code...you have a code.
I am really interested in knowing what motor you have...lol I have a h22 with SK2 IM/TB, ebay headers, and all else stock. I can't afford a tune. Hoping you end up with a good one for an h22. If so, will you share the wealth?
