daily driver:obd0 b16a wont turn over please HELP
hi everyone, i'm new to honda tech but i've owned my rex for almost a year. i've been a member of the crx community for 8 months or so. i've only driven my crx a week and something went bad.
anywho, here's the info. longer story short, i was at a light and i noticed that the car had died. naturally i figured it's ok, just start it back up. all it does is cranks. a guy with a tow strap was nice enough to tow me off to a road where i knew it wasn't busy, which is a block and a half away from my house. later the next day i towed it to my house, and that's where she sits. i don't have anyone to help me that i know of. i can hear the fuel pump prime at key on, no cels, i have power. it cranks fine, but it doesn't spark. i have never had a problem like this, except when i forgot to plug the main harness plug that goes to the ecu. i have driven it 300miles and haven't really had a problem except a bad alternator bearing and the hesitant acceleration, cause of the fuel filter needs changed or it could have been a bad coil or icm. here is the list of things that are already new:
-spark plugs
-spark plugs wires
-dizzy cap
-dizzy rotor
if you guys can tell me a list of things i can do by myself, so i can walk down there and work this out. ask as many questions, because i know it will help you guys understand. i am mechanically inclined, but everything i know of hasn't done anything. i replaced the coil and icm with no luck. i checked the coil where the primary coil is( the two screws on top) if i put the negative probe on the negative screw and the positive probe of the mulitmeter on dc volts onto the positive coil screw i get 0v. i did the same thing, but use the neg. terminal of the battery and touched the positive primary coil screw and it read 11.94v. then i checked the secondary coil the same way( use the neg. terminal of the bat. and used the pos. probe to check the secondary coil and it read 11.93v. this is on my battery, that needs charged. i currently have 12.08v on my battery. i need my car so i can go to work, i haven't been able to go since my car died, but my work understands. i work at a body shop btw.

check to see if your timing belt snapped.
Cranking the engine spins the crank shaft which in turn spins the cams via the timing belt.
The distributor is connected to the cam. So, if your belt is broke you get no spark.

any more ideas? anyone how to check if the icm is working properly? like i said i have power to the dizzy, but it is not exiting like it should. i'm pretty sure if i got a used b16a dizzy it would run fine, but i don't have anymore money. i have $20 and i wont get paid till next week. i have to make it to work though so i can make money.
