91 ef hatch rust holes

Default 91 ef hatch rust holes

not very good at body work but previous owner jacked some stuff up. any tips on how to fix a rust hole that is probably 5 inches in diameter? without cutting and welding.

Duct tape?

To do it right you're gonna have to cut n weld

this is why vem is one of my friends .....there is no short cut dude rust eats metal and attacks from the edges you have to cut off the rusty edges and seal that ish up with some new metal or fiberglass if not structural but the latter is highly not recommended

I thought about cutting the edges then just find some sort of back support then bring out the bondo.

there is some no weld stuff on eastwoods website but to do it correctly your going need a flange tool some metel and a welder then bondo icing and then epoxy primer

5 inches in diameter ?!?!?! thats a big rust hole .. your gonna have to cut out more than just the edge of the rust , the area of the rust is bigger underneath the paint .. then weld it up and paint over it . job done

i see it has been bondoed before ....thats a definite cut and weld situation
