who uses anti-lag?
Anyone who uses anti lag please chime in. I'm not sure if i need it, or if its worth risking damage to the turbo?
Sc34 turbo ( t3 .63/ stage 3, t4e .60/ 57 trim )
Stock head y8. 8.5:1 c/r
I'm not sure if I will need anti lag to build boost for launches ?
Using unsprung 6 puck clutch, so I should be able to set 2 step to 5500 rpm without clutch slippage, until the tranny explodes lol.

You can use 2-step anti-lag if you'd like. You're risking overall turbo damage anyway, so the question of whether or not it is worth it is strictly up to you and your level of drag racing skill, how often you go to the drag-strip, what you're trying to accomplish, etc.
No one can really answer that question for you, ya know?

How high is the risk of turbo/motor damage when you compare regular 2 step launch control and 2 step + anti lag? And i will track it several times a year, but drive it on the streets more, I think it will be hilarious to see the look on people's faces bouncing it off 2 step with the added back firing that anti lag has when sitting at a stop light too.
I would try to use 2-step only with fuel/ignition cut first. If your going to the track and depending on how much boost you can make at the line you might have to use ant-lag if you bogg of the line using slicks.
Its not good for the turbo but people have been doing it for years and idk if ive ever seen a turbo come apart from antilag. i would say it probably puts a little more wear on the bearings but minimal i would think. My turbo is several years old and about 30k miles and i have antilag and its just fine

Exactly what I was thinking and going to say.
I seen peoplle at the strip all the time using it. There is people out there that can answer the question for you based on experiance.
With that low compression I would use it for sure.

i use anti lag on my car, but i do not have it set aggressively.
just using it with more of a fuel dump than an ignition retard, it makes around 8 psi to get me out of the hole. my rev limit is also fuel cut not ignition cut. i only see the track a few days a year like this and i dont use it on the street, just the regular 2 step
a few years ago i had anti lag set pretty aggressively and used it often just to be a jerk popping fireballs at cars that pulled up to close to me at red lights. it did increase the wear on my exhaust valves according to the machine shop, so i backed it off
