Tinted windows when Road Racing?
What are the rules and regulations on racing with tinted windows? Are you not allowed at all, or?..
I'm sure it seems like a stupid question... I'm just curious. Please, no "don't tint your windows, looks better without" comments; I know... I know...

Can't do it in SCCA either last time I did club racing (few years ago). I did know someone in ITA who had a solid windshield banner in the area the stock windshield has tint. And then he used a tint film to about halfway down the windshield and the scrutineers let him slide. His seat was pretty low so he still could see out fine. He mainly did it for the pain-in-the-***-blindness you get at Sears Point in the late afternoons heading up into Turn2.
If you're talking normal street car tinting where the whole window has a darker film they will definitely prevent you from running.

When I'm strapped in, I can't see sh*t out of any of my windows anyway
I don't believe that it's legal for either NASA or SCCA. We have some local clubs that may allow it, and I'm not familiar with HC rules. I can see the advantage on the upper windshield, though. A properly placed solid banner helps that. You can always tint your HELMET VISOR!
