Hello everyone,

I just bought an 03 Civic SiR and every time I unlock the car (via the remote or the unlock switch in the car) the doors unlock and immediately relock themselves. It's annoying having to time it and have passengers time it as well. I did a search and couldn't find any information. Does anyone have any insight?

 

If the driver side doesn't fully unlock it will re lock the rest of them. I would put in a new driver side door lock actuator if that sounds like what it is doing.

 

I had this problem on my 05 ep3, wich is now my little bros. it started when some one tried to break into my ep3. they ripped of the window molding and try to pick the lock with a cloth hanger. its a security feature that locks ur car when its getting broken into, this is what honda told me. i had to take it in, and they replaced a few things, if i remeber it was around 200 bucks. id get it fixed cuz im sure its as annoying to you as it was to me. sorry i dont have more info. im sure if you take it to an auto electric shop they could repair it to.
