no headlights
Alright so I got a 97 gs integra from ohio in january. Fully built type r motor blew up on the way home because of low oil my bad that I didn't check it before I bought it. Well the new engine is in an I was doing some wire tucking an some how shorted the headlights out. The car has an hid kit installed that I'm going to return back to stock. Headlights were working fine untill I cut a gray plug on the passenger side next to the fan plug. I matched the wires up color by color an now I keep blowing the hi/lo beam 10amp fues in the interior under dash fusebox. The only headlight working is the drivers side hi beam. Turn signals, parking lights, hazards all work like they should. The car has the following deletes a/c,power steering, condeser fan wiring. Does anyone know why I would be blowing fuses left an right because of that plug? The plug wasn't connected to anything before nor after the engine swap.
Nvm I'm just going to get a new chassis harness. Reasons behind this are that when the car has a check engine light with the ignition turned to number 2 setting it doesn't show a check light untill you turn the motor over. also car was switched to obd1 with a jumper harness an I'm getting code 4 cps on the dash when obd1 doesn't have that. If you have the hazards on the headlights can't be on with them. Its a cluster mess.
It sounds like you purchased someone's project. The HID kit in my car is PnP. No wires were cut. Perhaps you grounded a wire when you cut that plug. Try seperating the ends.
Also, check the fuse box label for the fuse ratings. A 10A fuse seems small for two 55W halogen bulbs.

10A is the correct size fuse for the head lights both high and low beam, [four (4) 10A fuses], but I agree, OP should disconnect the wires he cut and reconnected and see what happens. 94
Ah, I was thinking that there was 1 fuse for each pair. It makes more sence to have them fused individually to prevent loosing all of the headlights due to an issue with one. Thanks for checking.
Each headlight has its own fuse all are 10amp. The idiot who installed the hids used 35w balasts an cut all the connectors. He cut the connectors off an put the hid ones on. Then put the bulbs in the headlight an used the hid connectors from the bulbs. I cut the gray plug on the passenger side right by the fan plug. There is about 8wires coming off that plug. That harness runs on the fender wall up towards the abs unit. I just need to know what that plug connects to in stock form. I was in to hondas for 5yrs go out of the scene an returned with this car lol. If you turn on the headlights it instantly blows a fuse. It even blew a 25amp.
Sorry, I do not know what the plug is for, I will look at my 94 and see if I have one.
Never install bigger then called for fuses, you risk burning your car to the ground, and no insurance will pay for that.
Have you tried disconnecting the connections you made to see if fuse still blows?
Got the shop van at home right now so I will get back to you later. 94

What color are the wires and how many are there.
This is in my 94RS..

Mine goes to nothing, a "dummy plug" is pluged into it.

I do not have A/C and I see the 98 Integra has an A/C thermostat, wires are
Black/yellow
Blue/red
Yellow/white
And two that are "NCA", [no color avalable], maybe for an A/C sub harness. 94

Yeah that's the plug I'm talkin about!! Lol hell yes thanks. Its good the pictures are huge gives me more clarification on where the wires go. Told you guys the plug doesn't go to anything haha. I had a dc2 98 gsr before an it never had a plug like that. I wonder if it taps the connection to the headlights off?
Alright so I wired the plug up exactly as pictured. I'm not blowing any fuses but I'm still not getting headlights. Now none of the headlights work. I checked all fuses about 3times each, checked grounds and everything. When brights are suppose to go on the indicator comes on like it should. I tried another balast. I'm leaning towards maybe a fried headlight switch idk.
Test for power at the 4 fuses with the head light switch on and with high beams on, the fuses are after the switch, if you get power at the fuses the switch is not the problem. 94
Wiring issues certainly suck, especially when someone started cutting wires. What you did is often the easiest and best solution.
Any reasonable HID kit should draw only 35W. A 55W kit would be extremely bright and still draw the same current as the stock halogens. Perhaps he installed 100W halogens at some point.
