Default Need Advice / Information On Getting A New Motor

So I recently purchased a 2001 Integra LS from Craigslist and to make a long story short the motor ended up being junk so now I am getting ready to replace it. I Have about 2000.00 to spend so I am trying to decide the best route to go. I am looking at either dropping in another b18b1 I can get shipped for about 1100.00 or picking up just a b16 motor. If I went with the B16 would I be able to keep and use my motor mounts, shift linkage , wiring harness and transmission ? I am thinking I will just need the ecu, wire up vtec and maybe axles ? Am I missing anything here ? Also I would upgrade to a better transmission later this year. In the long run I want to build an all motor set up that I can drive daily. Please give me some advice on which set up and any thing I might have left off. Thanks

Either, my buddy has a b20b in his crx and that thing rips with just minor boltons and a tune. Later on if you want more power you can do a crvtec with a b16/gsr head and supporting mods or boost, up to you. They are great motors.
