Default O.G.S. Announces Borg Warner Turbos Triple Crown Points Series Presented by Full-Race

O.G.S. Announces The Borg Warner Turbos SFWD Triple Crown Points Series Presented by Full-Race

New York, NY (FPRC) April 11th, 2012
8:00 A.M.

Ortega Global Solutions (OGS) is happy to announce the addition of a points series to the already successful Sport Front Wheel Drive class for the 2012 season. This is just one of the heads up classes ran during various OGS events at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park. This concept is being added to a total of 3 OGS events for the 2012 season. The OGS staff continues to be on the cutting edge of motorsports as we look forward to working with the Sport Front Wheel Drive competitors who are dedicated to racing at our brand of events. The purpose of this points series is to increase interest and competition in the sport front wheel drive class.

This point series for the Sport Front Wheel Drive class will be contested over 3 events which are to be held at Englishtown's Old Bridge Township Raceway Park. The entire 3 race schedule will count towards each drivers cumulative points. The Competitors will have the chance to compete for great payouts (for class winners) and incentives (top 3 qualifiers on a BW Turbo and Best Finisher on a BW 67mm Turbo). They will also have the chance to win a year-end championship purse.

At every event, the Top 3 Qualifiers on a BW 67mm Turbo will receive a Borg Warner $200 cash bonus. In addition, The Best Finisher of the event on a BW 67mm Turbo will receive an additional $400 cash for the BW Best Finisher Award. These incentives, compounded with a very competitive payout of $2,000 ($1,000 Winner, $500 Runner up, $250 Semi’s) will make this already successful class even better while attracting a larger number of participants to the class and the sport.

The championship purse for the Borg Warner Turbos SFWD Triple Crown will be $2,100 in winnings. The winner would be receiving $1,200; runner up $600 and third place would receive $300. Also, a BW Best Finisher Award of $400 for the best points finisher on a BW 67mm Turbo along with $200 and $100 product vouchers for the 2nd and 3rd best points finishers on a BW 67mm Turbo. The event schedule which will include the Borg Warner Turbos SFWD Triple Crown Points Series Presented by Full-Race is listed below.

Points Information & Guidelines

• Points will start to accrue and be earned at the date of sign up and payment.

• No back dating of points is allowed.

• Points are not transferable from one class to another.

• Current NHRA competition or Raceway Park permanent numbers will be required. Temporary numbers will not be valid to participate in the series.

• The competition number that you sign up with for the points series must remain the same at each event or you will not be awarded points for the day. NO EXCEPTIONS!

• Competition numbers must be displayed clearly on the vehicle.

• If your competition number has been imputed incorrectly (you will be able to check this on your time slip) please notify the control tower so this can be corrected and your points will not be impacted.

• Points discrepancies must be addressed before the start of the next points event. For any points questions or concerns email: ogspoints@gmail.com.

• Competitors may only sign up for one class for each vehicle.

• Drivers receive points not vehicles. Driver substitutions are not permitted.

• Rain-outs – If the race is rained out and able to be rescheduled, points will be awarded on the rescheduled date. If a race is not able to be rescheduled no points will be awarded for that event. If a race gets rained out during the middle of the event, points will only be awarded to completed rounds of qualifying or eliminations for each class (whatever the case may be). For example if an event gets rained out in the middle of a round of qualifying or eliminations for a class points will not be awarded to that class for that particular round.

• Any disqualification will result in loss of points for the day’s event.

• It is the driver’s responsibility to meet all safety and track requirements.

• Points Sign-up fees do not cover track tech card or crew entry fees.

• Sign-up fees are NON-REFUNDABLE!

Not responsible for typographical errors. All rules are subject to change at management’s discretion.

I'm pretty sure you can still run a 24.5x9.5 in this event. To my knowledge nobody makes anything bigger then 9" wide in a 25" tall tire
