I've searched and cant find a answer, just hearing people saying 12, 14, 8.

I looked up on acura site for the usdm itr and they say its a 8x14 bolt but that dont fit either because I grabbed some from the hardware store.

Anyone?

 

Go to Fastenal. They have a great selection of metric hardware. I would guess that the pitch is 1.25

 

Def a 12mm bolt.

Pitch unsure. Just looked at mine last night.

 

99% sure its a M8-1.25x14mm bolt. You'll probably have to get a 15 or 20mm though

 

It wouldn't budge and i didn't want to force it incased it ruined the thread. I can try again.

Are you sure the pitch of the bolt that you bought is a 1.25?

 

are you sure they are different than usdm?

Automotive bolts are metric fine thread. Make sure you pay attention to that when sourcing. Your basic hardware store will probably not supply those. As stated you should be looking for an M8-1.25. The diameter of the bolt is not determined by what size socket fits the hex head... Wurth is a great supplier of automotive fasteners as well. Ex- Fastenal manager here :D

 

Before it will strip, it will rip the aluminum heat shield (the nut side).
I have a couple of new in their plastic heat shields, which I never installed. My rattle was a gut-busted cat and I wasted my change on the shields.

Will the JDM ITR heat shield work on a JDM ITR header in a USDM ITR? Stupid question but want to double check before i purchase. Thanks
