hey guys

after i start the car and turn it off the fan still wants to run ive timed it a few times now and it runs for about 15 mins then its good, and it will run after even if the car isnt warm.. its just every time i turn the car off

The fan on my '96 would come on after the car was shut off and run for five or ten minutes when the coolant was low. Filled and bled the cooling system and the problem went away.

 

Mine does that from time to time when its really hot out. It usually turns on for a few minutes then shuts back off again.

 

I have noticed that only the non-VTEC cars do that. Let me know if I am wrong.

 

I belive thare is a cooling fan timerunit that will run fans after shut down in hi heat. First check the coolent level then the coolent temp switchs but do not just un plug it as I think the fans will not run when needed
