what f series trans are best on a f22a1
ok so my 1992 accord trans is acting up idk if its low on gear oil or going out but as i was driving it wouldent go in any gears only ones that worked was 3rd and 5th and now this morning 1st and 4th started working today and reverse is not going it and wondering if its going out so i can get a trans that has better pull than the stock f22a1 trans

^ This generation Accord only had four-speed automatics. I would have thought it the same with your '96.
And yes, if you want a faster transmission, pull one out of a Prelude. M2B4, I think is the good LSD gearbox. Though if you want aftermarket support, say a better final drive, stick with an American-spec non-LSD trans. You can always put an aftermarket LSD in.
B-series trannies are too much custom work to get in, I don't think it's ever been done.

- The OP complains about the trans in his '92, mentioning 5th gear
- The next post suggests an auto trans troubleshooting page
- I ask the obvious question: "Is it an auto or manual?"
- I'm transformed into a zombie troll for asking such a stupid question
- Lastly, I'm told that my '96 auto has only four forward gears
i would go to a junkyard and get the sensors hat go on the passenger side of the tranny by the axle. i replaced my tranny and gears would only work with either manual **** or sometimes they didnt work at all

Well why not put an h22 head is it to much torque or low rpm power? Cause I have a f22a1 and I feel like my tranny is a lil lack luster when it comes to accelerating..I mean I've always been a chevy guy so idk idk my gear ratios are right or not but id deffinatly love a lil more umph off the line..so my? Is wats good with the h22 head on a f22?
