the reason i ask is that i am trying to figure out what trans will help me to stay in fourth gear through the quarter mile. the h22 causes me to have to go to fifth around the 1000 foot mark. should i put in the h23 trans or just change the final drive from the f22 into the h22 trans

24.5/8/13 slicks. if i go with bigger slicks that means new bogarts/new tires/one peice front end. i would rather change the trans since i have the h23 and f22 already.

update on gear ratios. put in the h23 trans. took it to the track today. new trans kept me from having to go into fifth gear, but barely. it also cured alot of the wheel spin when going into second gear.et's and mile per hour stayed the same. i might try putting the mainshaft and ring gear from the single cam prelude trans in the h22 trans which will change the final drive ratio and keep the close ratio gears of the h22.
