Default Loud gurgling/groaning after 3500rpm from exhaust.

Hey guys, any insite is appreciated.

basically my car sounds fine driving normal, coasting etc. But when I rev past 3500rpm, after I let off the gas(to coast or shift), my exhaust gets extremely loud. Its hard to describe the sound, but its a deep gurgle/groan.

For example if I'm at 4500 rpm and I let off the throttle, all the way from 4500->3500 I get this terrible sound, but as soon as I hit 3500 it goes away.

We looked for leaks and found a small one where my muffler tip attaches. But I don't think this is the problem. Think it could possibly be the inside of my resonator falling apart.

Exhaust is stock R all the way back to a T1R axle back if it matters.

TIA

Cat or Test pipe? Mileage on car? Header stock?

Could it simply be a vibration from part of the system touching the body of the car? I've had issues where the rubber hangers weren't quite right, and the rear muffler would trigger a horrible sound at certain rpms. Just a thought. If you check the clearance to the body it will be pretty obvious if that's what's going on.

Also, if you simply rev it in neutral, someone can listen from the side of the car to help pinpoint the problem if it is a hole.

Thanks guys, I'll lift it up again and check for clearance, we did try to rev in neutral but it doesn't make the sound. Forgot to mention that.

Stock cat, stock header and 120km (75,000 miles) on motor/car

Same thing happened to me. I just added more rubber hangers to prevent all the vibration
