Default hammerhead Carbon Fiber hoods anyone????? not 56k friendly!!!!!!

after viewing a thread in the appearance forum i had to call the company up for myself. As for now they only make these hoods for the 92-95 civic because they thought that there would be large market for that generation..turns out it wasnt as large as they thought.. anyway....they make 2 different style hoods, an H2 weave & standard weave...so in order for them to mass produce these hoods they wanna see how many they could sell...The guy told me if can get like 20 or more people he will mass produce them..here are some pics of the hood... the website for the company is http://www.hammerhead-aviation.com/Hoods.htm
The standard hood weighs 15lbs and the H2 weave weighs 16lbs due to coating. I really like these hoods so if u guys can call the shop and tell that that u would be interested in the hood the hood maybe they can start to mass produce them for the 5th gen accord or whateva accord that u might have....enjoy

the standard weave

the H2 weave

here is the link for a post about these hoods on JDMCivic.com http://www.jdmcivic.com/forums/showt...ght=hammerhead

unfortunatly for them.. most people who would buy one for a 92-95 civic.. have.

what kinda prices they talkin about on a GB? I would like one for my 4th gen but we will never get 20 people wanting one.

the standard hood is $350 plus shipping and the H2 weave goes for $450 plus shipping...but in order for them to mass produce the hood WE ALL have to call the shop and tell them that we are interested in the hood. Then they would put all of your names down in their database so that they can make sure there is a strong market for the hood...after and when there are enough buyers maybe i can call the guy back and tell them that we are all from H-T and he can give us a GB rate....so basically its all up to how many people are really interested in the hood..

they can make oem and vented style hoods but only if there is a market for both...they dont wanna make a make 2 different molds if only 1 is gonna sell..well u get my drift
