I bought a 4-2-1 ceramic header on e-bay and want to install it this weekend but It didn't come with any gaskets? I would assume that I can use a factory gasket for where the new header meets the block but the header came in two pieces that bolt together, so what do I use where these two pieces meet?


any help would be greatly appreciated

If they fit, use them. I sugguest if they fit tho, buy new ones.

 

you can actually go to summitracing.com and order the gaskets that are for that piece of the header. I had a gasket split in half for the part where the 4 tubes go to 2 and ordered one from summitracing for like $14 bux

if say I was incredibly impatient man and could wait do you think that kragan or the like would have some sort of generic gasket material that I could cut to fit

 

You could also go to any auto parts store and pick them up. The gasket that goes between the 2 halves of the header are probably just 2 o-ring gaskets.
