Im saving for a turbo setup. I live in NY so id have to pass inspection. I hear a lot of people switching back to obdI but if i do that in NY ill fail when they try to check the ecu. If i piggy back the OBDII ecu will i be able to pass inspection. i cant remember if they do an under the hood inspection in NY. Please dont give me **** for having to piggy back I know its not so good for the engine but this wonderful state hates my joys of cars and guns haha

haha that would help i have an 01 f23a4 5 speed. The ULEV part doesnt matter i live in ny so i dont have the super cali strict restrictions emissions wise

 

For anyone in NY or basically every state with an inspection(except California). in order to pass inspection you cant throw any engine codes so defoulers, missing link, or something like an AEM EMS would be needed. You can use something like a p28 ecu but when it comes time for inspections you would have to pull everything or know the shop owner
