need for what? whats your goals? launching at the track with street tires is a waste of time id get some slicks and call it a day and your 60' will improve big time obviously. why is the power so low?

power is low because i have a small turbo and stock exhaust.i am getting a dump tube made tomorrow.then will be retuning next month to hopefully get about 340 whp. im just trying to figure out what my 60ft should be. i have a pair of street slicks but didn't put it on. next time i plan to go out again is when i retune and the street slicks will be on.

As they have already said running a true slick will give you the most bang for your buck. I have a stock gsr with some bolt ons making 164 whp and I ran a 14.2 with a 2.0 60 ft on my slicks they are 22x8x13 on 13" lenso wheels. If you ran the same set up you should easily hit a 1.7 - 1.8 60ft which should get you a low 13 sec time maybe even a high 12 with some practice.

Thanks that's the answer i was looking for somewhat.yes I know running drag slicks will net me a better 60 ft . What I'm really trying to find out is with my set up right now with the st tires is good with my 60 ft.I will be eventually running drag slicks but I am taking it one step at a time

Ok, well street tires varry quite a bit, I use Toyo Proxes T1R's 205/50/15 and the best I could ever do is a 2.2 60'. Try taking the air pressure down to about 20-22psi and adjust your launch. Try it at diffrent rpm's 3500-5000 maybe. If you have a S300 or a msd ignition box it would make it easier to set a launch rpm. I have a chipped ecu tuned with crome and have a few diffrent programs with diffrent launch rpms set so I can play with it a little. If you live close enough to the track I know Sac does a wednesday night program where you can get quite a few passes for like 15 bucks. Also there is a import specific race this sunday the 15th. There will be plenty of people there you can talk to about your setup and get some advise. I'll be there at about 8:30 to set up.

Thanks for the info so my 60ft is good ? For street tires. I did also lower my tire pressure to about 15 psi . I do have a s300 but forgot to bring my laptop . I was luanching from 4-5 k found it better at 5 . But next time I will have my st slicks on with a retune since I don't have a dumptube right now.
