i have figured out that my car will only start when i jostle the wiring under the dash right below the gas tank any idea which wires to check first?

That's what I was gonna ask. Why is the gas tank under the dash?

 

Sounds like that's his first problem - a gas tank under the dash

 

meant to say gas gauge.. soooo just left of the steering column

 

I would begin by resoldering the main relay circuit board connections.
This is assuming the engine cranks but doesn't fire.

If it doesn't crank until you jostle the wires, it could be a bad clutch interlock connection or ignition switch going bad.
