greddy TD04H turbo rebuild kit
Hey I have a greddy d-series turbo kit. The turbo is blown and I contacted greddy asking them if the turbo is a superback or not to find out wat rebuild kit I need. the tech said there turbos are built by mistubishi with spacific standards just for greddy and only they can rebuild them. Has anyone rebuilt one before? Or was the tech telling me the truth lol.
You probably need one of these or something similar.

Turbos spin upwards of 200,000RPM. Yes, you can rebuild it yourself, but you really shouldn't unless you happen to have the tools available to balance the shaft correctly. I'm sure someone will come in and say "I did it, and don't have problems!" but hey, everyone gets lucky once.
Also, assuming you have the same Greddy kit that my turbo came out of, it's a TD04H-19T. Just so you know when you start looking for rebuild kits. There are dozens of great shops that'll do a full rebuild with balance for you, for a few hundred dollars. I love doing my own work, but there are some things I will only leave to the professionals. Turbo rebuilds is one of those things.

Yea I was worried about the whole balancing of the shaft but I called three places in my area that can rebuild turbos and I was gonna have them just rebalance it when i was putting it back together and all of them said they don't rebalance them unless they hit the walls of the shell. Witch it didn't. Even greddy told me the same thing
