Default Any exp/opinions on LEDS and mirrors

whats up guys got a couple questions. was wondering if anyone has or seen different LED light bulbs in the rear lights. one of my tail lights went out and i wanna replace em all with some LED as i heard theyre brighter which i think will bring a cool little improvement in the looks. I have the stock lights all around my car and plan on keeping em that way (the housings). has anyone seen if they make a big difference? i heard the the cheaper ones dont do much (about 6$ each) but im curious as to the top ones, (12-25$ each), according to website theyre more powerful and some have a better area of light. but who knows. if anyone knows or has seen if they make a difference on regular honda housings id appreciate some feedback.

also curious as to if anyone knows about the mirrors. one of my side mirrors is falling off, the housing is cracked. ive gotta replace it, and an idea came to me that maybe some other mirrors from maybe an s2k or even one of the suvs would look good. has anyone seen that? also are the honda ones universal? or is this a do able job?

thank you everyone!

I don't think the s2k mirrors or SUV mirrors would bolt up correctly, seeing as they have specific bolt patterns to bolt into the car and due to them being different sizes I doubt that they would match up. Why would you want some HUGE suv mirrors on a med sized accord?? just go to your local junk yard and buy a new mirror that will swap right out. not sure what you mean by universal, but they don't make all mirrors applicable to all cars if that's what your saying, and yes it is a do able job.

As for the LED's I have't had much experience with them, but i think you would see some difference but minimal, it wouldn't be like the newer cars that have stock LED brake lights due to the fact that the number of led bulbs inside the whole unit itself is significantly less then the stock LED brake lights from a factory. Honestly, if you have the $$$ do it, but i'd only get the cheaper $6-10 bulbs, if you try it and it doesn't do what your looking for you haven't hurt anything. I just wouldn't pay $25 per light bulb if i were you...that's just a little rediculous.

thanks for info on mirrors, ill just keep em stock then. it was just an idea.

as for the lights......i noticed the expensive bulbs are 45 mini legs on the bulb, the 17 dollars one drops it to 25 leds on the bulb....and so forth. i looked online and saw a few cars and they were very nice looking, but it looked like they had after market light housings, and i wanna keep mine stock. so i am still looking to see how LEDS in a stock housing looks. i agree the 25 a bulb is rediculous, its a shame, looks like to get the look i want id have to spend the extra dollas on that.

I have full LEDs on my 99 Accord and love them, every bit. I love that in the brake lights, they have a more solid red and I have amber turn signals and bright white back up lights. Even in stock housing, I love it

When you guy LED bulbs, make sure they can handle up to 14V as the alternator is putting that much out when the car is running. This is how some bulbs burn out so fast.
