whats the best way to break a automatic harmonic balancer? The usual tool isnt goin to work on this one. tried jamming the balancer but no luck dalylight was running out so if anyone done a automatic harmonic balancer b4 and had luck with out special tools let me know thanks. called autozone and advance and orielys with no luck. thanks for looking

 

What do you mean the tool wont work?


The car being a auto has no bearing on the crank pulley. Worked perfectly on mine.

 

i have the top one. me and a buddy tried impact and tried to hold the pully but didnt work with a 2 bolts and a pry bar.

Try a chain wrench.

 

Here we go again

As 98 said get a vice grip style chain wrench it will come right off
