Icon6 project rsx type s build..

so i picked up this 02 rsx type s it needs front work but its not that bad i got this car for a steal.. 2800 thats right 2800 bucks... now for the goods car has 100k miles and has k20a2 with a 6spd tranny with a stage 2 act clutch kit, bucket seats, skunk2 coilovers, and original rims.. the bads are has front end damage (but got a whole front clip for 300) no hood, fenders, or front bumper.. i have very big plans for this car a type r front end since i dont have one... since the engine is already out im gonna clean and polish the block and tranny, wire tuck and maybe shave the bay.. interior is clean so dont have to do anything to it yet maybe wrap the headliner and pillars in suede ( i did my friends headliner and pillars in his rsx came out bad as ***).. so now for the pix i got a few ..

how i got the car..

pretty messed up but now the heart of the beast k20a2..

i started to clean the motor my opinion gunk works really good i use it all the time.. after that i painted my valve cover red looks clean..

after how the VC came out i decided to paint the intake mani, block, and tranny in a cast coat aluminum paint gives it the brand new look..

i put it back on to see how it looked clean as ****..

block and tranny..

im so excited how its coming out.. next im gonna buy some motor mounts not sure what kind yet but gonna pick some nice ones.. in the mean time i need to weld the front clip on so need to wait for that.. ill probably start to wire tuck it and start shaving it while i wait.. once all done with that and get the mounts ill put the block back together and mount it in the car.. ill keep this post updated with what i do if u have and comments or ideas feel free to throw it out there.. thanks for looking..

Considering that car would sell for $7000-8000, with that mileage, in good condition(not crashed up, obviously). And a k20a2 swap alone sells for $2500-3000, I'd say he did pretty good.

Yeah, but for all the work needed to be put into it and the time to put into it, I would've personally got a complete running car for $8k instead. Which is very possible these days at around 90k miles.

just needs the front welded on.. thats the only damage on the car.. plus like prelude_h22vtec said i got the complete k20a2 with it.. that is what convinced me.. and now a days honda civic rolling shells sell for like a 1000 bucks thats what i payed for the rsx type s clean title shell with bucket seats and 1800 for swap.. i was planning on building a honda civic and dropping in the k20a2 but compared to this car a civic has nothing on it lol

up and running you would buy it for 8k.. its gonna cost me less than 5k to put it together including what i bought it for.. i dont know about u but id rather pay 5k and be able to say i put that car together than to just drop 8k on a car but thats personally
