~general height for optimal handling
Hey guys....knowing that a lot of you track your car, I was just wondering if you could give me some advice on how low a car should go before you start losing performance in handling. I've heard that anything over 1.75 is usually hurting the suspension geometry already but I just wanted some ideas from you guys. Thanks
Thanks for the reply. As of now I'm still running on stock shocks but with skunk 2 coilovers. Any idea of height with this setup for now?
i wouldnt go past 2" away from stock height. After that any stock or stock stroke
shock will not do that well. Short stroke shocks are nice for that purpose

I've heard that keeping the rear about .5-1.0" higher than the rear has the best handling characteristics and improves turn-in greatly. Anyone running their car like this?

The upper control arms shouldn't go below parallel to the ground.
upper arms or lower arms?...and also, you mean they should angle upwards past being parallel with the ground?
Of course, its not that simple, because when you turn hard, the inside 2 wheels of the car will incounter more force and that side will lower during the turn.
