ok so car starts right up and drives perfect but it seems like after it warms up it will die (was lasting a total of about an hour but it seems like it only last like 15 minutes now)whether its just parked or driving. Ive been working on it for like a week and ive replaced the battery, battery ground cable, alternator, spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap and distributor rotor, and the fuel filter.

I dont think its the fuel pump or ignition relay.

Might replace the whole distributor next but i dont know any help would be appreciated greatly.

also when it dies it will crank and be fine and everything but sounds like its not getting gas. another thing is once it dies it wont start till its cooled down after about 15min and it will fire right up. the reason i replaced all the ignition stuff is my car would die and the road and we would jump start it and it would run (but this would take about 15 min and also replaced alternator cuz took it to autozone and they tested the battery and alternator and said something in my alternator wasnt charging battery). more details is when its running and dies like once i was going 50 and it died and i put it in 3rd and droped the clutch it wont start the car sounds like its on but super low pitch, and the rpms stay at 0. When it dies every time the rpms go to 0 and it dies doesnt give any warning just dies.

Sounds like its the Main Relay.

 

I wish you would have posted before replacing all of your electrical components, because this sounds like a fuel delivery problem. Your alternator might have been weak enough to suggest replacement, but I'm convinced the problem is in your fueling system.

 

no cel i think it might be the coil pack in the distributor because when it does die it wont have any spark when it cranks, (tested with a meter between spark plug and spark plug wire), i dont think its a fuel problem because you can hear the fuel pump every time and the car runs fine

 

Test the ICM and coil.

Next time the engine won't start, listen for whether the fuel pump primes and check for bright white spark at the plugs.

 

you might also wanna consider the ignition switch.
honda had a recall over the 96-00 civics for faulty ignition switches. bring it to the dealership, and after some paper work it will cost you NOT A PENNY

 

I agree with RonJ honda's are know for ICM problems, which usually shows up once the car is warm as for fuel problem I don't think it is a fuel problem because your problem sounds heat related.
