Default removing rear calipers/ebrake cable.

I'm trying to take off my rear calipers to replace them, but can't seem to get the ebrake cables free. Anyone know how I'm supposed to do this? Thanks.

well i don't know hoe but if you go to napa or other auto parts store they will sell you a service manual that is pretty good and it's only like $10 or so. that explains many things on your car and has lots of pics too!

Take the plastic around the ebrake handle off. Disconnect the cable from the ebrake. Got underneith the car and detach the ebrake cable from brake. Unbolt the cable from the bottom of the car. That is about all you do. It should be simple to do even without any manuals. I have the helms and didn't have to look at it for this.

Thanks but I don't want to take out the ebrake cable, this is on my rear disc setup, sitting in my living room. I want to take off the ebrake cable from the rear caliper. Moreso, just to replace the caliper.

Remove the pin and the two bolts holding the bracket.

Thanks, but the cable is still connnected, I did this. I pulled out the cotter pin but the screw or whatever still won't come out.

It's just a pin. It may take a little presuasion. Some penetrating oil wont hurt either.

Thanks, I'll try that in the morning. It has a flathead marking on it so Ithought it was a screw...
