taking out my buddies k20a2 out of his 02 rsx..


im puling it out the top and myonly question is what dou do with the a/c hose that runs directly over the top of the engine?...do you evacuate the system and unbolt it or is there a way to just getit out of the way?

 

pull the transmission off first. Then you don't worry about the hose.

Then just unbolt the compressor (don't evap it) and bungee cord it to the frame. Pull the engine around the hose across the engine bay.

 

Alright how easy is it to get the trans out of there when it's unbolted?

trans jack underneath it, unbolt the mounts, drop it through the bottom. Lift the car, slide it out.

It's really simple.

Edit:

If you can't figure this out, I wouldn't really let you pull my engine.

Don't forget to take the axles out, so you don't destroy them.

Thanks bro I actually ended up evacuating the ac and removed that hose...I'm pulling it out the top with the engine and trans still together...seems to b easy since I'm used to pulling b18s out of tegs
