As of late, my car has had trouble starting, shutting down, and sudden rise in RPM's. The trim is a 97 CX and it is powered by a B16A2.

last week, the car sat out all day in the heat and it started just fine. However, when I was turning left in an intersection, the car died. It would turn over as but sounded as if it was not getting fuel. After letting it sit for about an hour, it started up and I was able to get it to a nearby friend's house.

On the way to the house, the RPM's suddenly increased but I had not decreased the angle of the gas pedal to the floor. It happened twice within 5 miles.

Once the car sat during the cooler evening, it stared up fine and ran with no hickups. I have noticed it having trouble starting from time to time. The fuel pump comes on but sometimes it is louder than others and visa verse.

What are logical explanations for this happening? My guess would be a bad fuel pump. The ECU would also throw the code P0453 for the EVAP valve as well.
