Default Husband and wife taking some pictures

So here is the story about our cars.. I got a 94 civic hatch a while back while my wife was driving an xterra. So we sold the xterra and on the way home found a 1998 cx civic hatchback for sale..

So I have been doing more work to her car because it is the family car and stuff needed to be replaced..

List of stuff done..

1998 civic hatchback cx 5 speed

windshield
2" exhaust with header
rota boost 15" wheels
ignition lock assembly
clutch slave
skunk2 struts ( not installed yet)
skunk2 lowering springs ( not installed yet)
Ctr cluster with 61k km
Spoon duck bill
replaced speakers
black housing headlights
5k hids ( replacing with ddm 55 watt kit 6k)
Y8 manifold swap ( doing this weekend)
new battery
x2 02 sensor

Then you have my car that is a 94 civic hatchback dx 5 speed

ignition lock assembly
ex coupe ex chassis harness
ex power door/lock swap
B16a/gsr tranny
Stage 2 clutch (unknown brand did not install)
password jdm intake
p30 manifold swap ( had pr3)
ex front/rear disk swap
password jdm orange extended lugs
Integra rear sway bar
Integra dash swap
integra cloth seats
integra carpet
Half *** itr cluster with red led swap
Integra black leather armrest ( in the mail)

I still need to fit or mod the dash for the civic door panels.

I know this is not much work, but when you have a family you can not just buy everything when you want it lol... The goal is to make our hatches looks a like, but in different years and color..

You must be young. If I told my wife she would be driving herself and the kids around in a EK hatch, she would divorce me on the spot. haha

Good luck with your projects.

The main point is here. And to help hammer this home, I honestly don't think it's wise to have your only forms of transportation doubling as "tuner" cars when you have a family. A family should always have a car that is safe and reliable at its disposal.

What in the hell are you talking about? Not everyone who drives a honda is tuning or building it.. Also Her kids are 17 and 14 so what does it matter? You act as if my car's are pos and need so much work they could break down at anytime. Also How is her car not safe, reliable and not at my disposal?

Slow down big wheel. Since you posted on a public forum with no details about your family, people can make any assumption they see fit.

In addition, your cars do need lots of work but as long as you like them, that's all that matters.

You took 12 pictures of these cars in the same exact spot.....................2 would've sufficed.

Just because they need some body work does not mean they need a lot of work... They may not look the best right now, but both of them run like champs.. Also my wife said if she would kick you to the curb over a car she was not much of a woman in the first place..She loves her ek hatch and picked it out..

We all know when you buy older Honda's they are going to need work... It's part of buying a used car..

Exactly! Thank you, cdfive.

OP, I wasn't trying to insult you at all. I never acted like your cars were pieces of **** at all. It's common knowledge that once you start getting all into modifications, you're going to have issues here and there. Piece of **** or not. I learned the hard way (and it took me a long time to learn this) to not have your only means of transportation as your fun vehicle. Especially when, as you said, "you can not just buy everything when you want it."

See people always complain about what's wrong with the scene these days. They think they have it all figured out. Saying certain mods are what's wrong, certain wheels, people "hating." None of that is what's wrong.

It's the negativity of people. It's the seriousness of people. I just just try to give sage advice on something, without being insulting and it gets ranted on. You take it the wrong way and clash back at me. And for what? Your misunderstanding of my post? No one can say anything that isn't "your car is the ****" without them getting chastised for it. I'm not some little kid coming in here spouting off and pounding my chest. I was just offering up a life experience.

Do what you want, though, homey. Good luck to you.

Lost my ex wife to a supra driver this way. We both pull up to a stop light and start revving our engines. Then we race and he beats me and says get a v6 with a turbo bitch! So ex wife gets out of the car, gets in the supra and I never see her again. Just sayin bro

Well I will start off by saying I did take it wrong way. I will man up and apologize if I came back hostile.. I am not looking for anyone to say my car is the **** lol... If it was the **** I would have sponsors and stuff.. I know a lot of people do things the wrong way and end up wasting money... The lowering springs are only 1.75" drop and I would not go any lower then that..

Arkansas roads are bad... I am going with the same setup I did on my integra with her.. 16" wheels with skunk2 struts, springs and if it needs a camber kit it will get one.. I have all 4 of us in my integra with no problem on that setup..

Oh man you hit it on the head with way people are about brands and want to down other because of it..When I said I can not just go buy anything I want when I want it would be pointed at stuff I want not need lol... I mean think about it like this do I need a y8 manifold swap,skunk2 products or anything other then oem or oe replacement parts?

That story just makes me laugh.. See what your missing is I am not making a race car or do I care about racing.. I want to look nice as we cruise and if someone wants to rev I will laugh at them the bird... I watch a lot of honda owner in arkansas blow tranny, snap mounts and blow motor trying to be the best when they lack the money to fix it..

We take care of our cars and fix what needs to be fix so it will last longer..I mean if I had the money I would pick up a 93-95 rx7 do a 20b swap and use it for a weekend car.. Tho that's like saying I won the mega millions last night to lol

So she has eBay headlights with an HID kit...and you're going to add a brighter 55w setup in there?

Glare overload...I'd definitely not be putting HIDs in reflector housings like that.

Its not that bad, but we are going to retro fit s2k projectors in the her housing or get a set of stock ek headlights and do it..

I am going going to do it with my stock eg hatch headlights with the s2k projectors

She wants to stay sliver or change to a darker blue and I would really like to go yellow... Not many Honda owners will run yellow in my state.. Also Not the type r yellow or s2k..

It's all good, homey. I've been around the block and know how a lot of sheet works, dude. I wasn't trying to knock you down or anything of that nature. Just giving advice to a younger dude. Not telling you what to do. Just something to ponder.

Apology accepted, of course, and good luck.
