D16A1 quick question.
91 DX Hatch with a D16A1 swap. Wiring harness won't have a plug for the Cam Posistion Sensor* (I think that's what it is) located on the top of the head on the exhaust side next to the dizzy. Do I need a connection there to make it run or is the plug for the dizzy gonna be all I need?
I've heard that sensor be called so many things.......it would've just been easier to say the sensor on the exhaust cam. It's just there to tell the ecu if the timing is correct, it's worth having in my opinion. It's only two wires to hook up and if you get them wrong you just switch them. But it will run without it, it'll just throw a code 9.
I was just trying to be specific was all. But thank you, your info was helpful.
jlicrx, thanks you for the diagram that was also very helpful.
I was actually slightly off on the plug I was talking about though. The plug I'm talking about is actually clipped to the bottom of the CYL sensor. I believe it has five pins (I think (it was dark outside when i looked at it)). Anyone know what that plug is for?
