EK Rear OEM Fog switch wiring help
heres what i have come down to so far...
2 of them are for the on off indicator (red yellow / black ) When switch is pressed indicates fog is on
2 of them is for the back light ( red black / black ) When park/headlights are turned on button is illuminated
1 is the signal light ( red green )
After confirming all this i got it to come on but it wouldn't stay on so i decided to take apart the entire switch assembly.....
The signal wire gets power from the indicator wire (Red Yellow). When the button is pressed it sends the power to the signal wire which sends power.
the signal wire only gets contact when pressed down and when i remove the button comes back out and loses contact. I guess this is a factory setting which works with the ecu or something. Basically i need to find something that once i send a signal it gives constant power to the lights. And when i press again the power is disconnected to the fog light.
I'm trying to stay away from using aftermarket switches and keep it oem but if it cant work i may just have to run an aftermarket switch with a relay.

Lack of support for this dam switch anywhere but did find 1......and here is the final product.
I had to make / buy a latched relay. Basically linked 5 relays together to get it to work proper
Finally got this dam thing working on a pulse signal
....all that research and learning paid off lol now when i get the new relays ill re make the harness and put a diy together or if people want me to make them a harness for their fogs to work with the oem rear switch just pm me
....im not on here much so email would actually be better and in the subject please put something usefull because if i dont see something there i usually dont open it.

Initially i did not care about the indicator as i wanted to get the fog to work with the oem switch, that was my priority everything else was going to come after lol.....anyway because of your post as soon as i got to my shop i played around with the wiring and got it to come on when fog is on....here's the video.
