i changed the tranny cuz i had though the one i had on went out. gears would slip when hot. i had no pressure when hot. changed solenoids and no diff. all that happen when i changed the fluid. before the fluid change it was PERFECT! so i got a used tranny from junkyard. this one feels ALOT SMOOTHER then the one i had on before. but the thing is SOMETIMES just SOMETIMES when i put it into reverse it engages and as im backing it it disengages and then engages again. but like i said ONLY sometimes. solenoids were changed once again. i tried 3 pairs and nothing. pressure seems good. i still need to get a pressure gauge for that tranny. but it works fine with 1 2 d3 and d4. and the other tranny is PERFECT as well it ended up being the converter it got over heated. and with the oil change the clutch inside said bye bye and clogged my tranny filter causing VERY VERY low pressure. when i loosen the fluid line bolts hardly any fluid came out.
