I just picked up a 1980 Honda CM400T. The last registration was 89 so Im guessing its been sitting in the shed I found it in for the past 23 years. Some rust on the chrome but the rest if the bike is "time capsule". Needs new battery and tires. Now my question is do you think if I can get it to start and run I can go without a rebuild? Put WD40 in the cylinders to free up the rings. Also plan on new spark plugs changing oil and gas and seeing if it will start.
are you asking us to wager on a whether a 32 year old bike will start with no over haul/rebuild?
lol. the over under on that is set at 95/05 with nothing more than new gas.
it's impossible to tell whether or not the bike will run if your the owner and it's completely impossible for us to tell if it will run for 3000 miles away.

New gas oil transmission fluid spark plugs etc. Also I was just asking if it is likely that I bike can be sitting and still run fine after start up without a rebuild.
