First off I would like to say if I posted this in the wrong section my apologies. I couldn't find a section for the Vigor and much less didn't expect to find one.

I wanted to know this question because I wanted to do a conversion on my 300ZX with the Vigor window idea. I owned the Vigor years ago and used to love that aspect of the car. Any help would be appreciated in pointing me in the right direction.

I would imagine I'd need custom rails or something to get it to work as well as a custom cut glass.

I believe it's b/c the rear door is not wide enough on the bottom b/c of the wheel cutout to allow the window to slide all the way down.

Some cars will just have the window roll part way down, some will give you extra opening by tilting the leading edge of the glass downward.

 

I'm just wondering if this could be done to another car. I imagine it being a cut piece of glass with an angle on the bottom and some kind of special railing in place that helps it slide down. Unfortunately when I had the Vigor I didn't work on it myself because I didn't know cars.

I wish I had so I could have torn it apart and looked at how it worked. I guess I can just try going to a junkyard but I don't think they'll let me tear something apart to just analyze it. I tried to look for videos on YT but can't find any disassemble videos on the car.
