Default Replace gas level mechanism

Anyone replaced the float in the tank that sends out the level to the gauge? My gauge is really wacko. Readings all over the place. Read you have to remove rear seat. Any help appreciated.

I have the similar problem. Gauge is periodically empty when full, and sometimes other places. Yes it is under the seat. Check your Hanes manual. It gives a simple description for this procedure. I haven’t had time to do it yet.

I had to replace the sender on my 91 LX about a year ago... like 90 for the part if I remember right.

Mine straight up stopped working though.. no bouncing guage. was more of an annoyance than anything.

did it via the p0rt h0le, wasnt that big of a PITA.

#31 is what i had to order / replace 'meter assembly'

with a bouncing guage it could be the cluster ??? .. hondas are famous for bouncing tachs and speedos.. why not the others.

i'm having a problem also... but it's much more than the gauge...

i filled up my tank recently and my gas gauge is a E and my car runs like crap.

i try to accelerate and it acts like it's running out of gas. it chokes..goes chokes goes chokes etc etc

but when my gas gauge feels like working somewhat then my car runs like normal.. i hate it.

then when it decides to go back to E it does the same thing...

anybody know the problem with mine?? bad fuel pump??

freak, the fuel pump and sender run on the same wiring harness, and if you ever installed any stereo compenents... it may affect the wiring, check that first. And if it's a 5th gen iyou can change the sender easily, basically a few screws, unhook wire harness, and replace. Just be sure not to smoke when you open the gas tank

Hey i have a question about the gauge though... Is it me or do all accord fuel gauges quickly move to the half point after filling up, and driving for like 50 miles, then slowly go the empty after like 250-300 miles?

Mine is the exact opposite. It moves slow to the 3/4's mark and then quickly through the rest.
