So im pretty new to HT.. but anyways I just bought my very first car, and is a 96 Honda Prelude with a 97 H22A1. Got it for $1000 with 116XXX on it.. body needs some TLC but not to much. It came with adjustable coilovers, AEM crank pulleyes, full Greddy exhaust, and DC headers. Bad thing is.. its been stolen before SMH* a few vacuum lines are not connected/missing, leaky radiator, and a bad motor mount :/ But it still drives like a champ!! (kinda) lol Lemme know what you guys think!

After a little TLC, i foresee it being a nice car. Keep it clean.

 

if the H came from a 97 lude then its a H22A4.

The previous owner told me it was a 97 motor, not to sure though -.- ill check when I get home. But I'm about to pick up some Mugen Headers and Exhaust! Don't know if there legit, but come Friday I'll find out..

Oh, and invest in an alarm and theft deterrents; you wouldn't want your hard-earned cash to go in the hands of thieves! I remember seeing the tire marks of my Integra in the snow the morning after it got stolen -__-

 

get a nrg quick release, viper alarm and dont keep ur eyes off it. thats how i am..i live in L.A

 

If you really want to know what year your motor is, look on top of your header on the head. Should give you the year it is, example: 9 (arrow pointing up) 6 = 96.

 

wish i can buy one for that price ,take care of it man nice ride.

 

BTW carbon fiber wrap is cheaper than a paint job , i know by own experience.

 

Like someone else stated, 97s came with H22A4. The A1 came on 93-96 Prelude VTECs. Good find, and good luck reviving it

Thanks! I'll check again when I get home, I just replaced most of my vacuum lines today and capped off some other ones for now, all I need now is a radiator and motor mount lol
