Can't Replace LightBulb on Car because Lock Ring is Stuck
The front lightbulbs on my car are a bit dim, so I decided to change them today. Well... I go to turn the the the lock ring and the damn this feels jammed. I shake it a little bit, and then think "Whatever! I will do the other side!" Go to the other side same thing! I check the direction, counterclockwise and look at my watch.
What should I do? Should I spray some lubricant on it? I feel like there is dirt in the lock rings or something and I don't want to break the headlight housing.

It just hasn't been turned in a long time and and the threads have gotten very settled in together. I used some of that thin rubbery padding that is used in kitchens cabinets to cushion my fingers/hand a bit, then just gave it a powerful twist. Once those well-settled threads can no longer overcome your power, it'll loosen and let you get the bulb out. There's very little room so lean in a way that you can put some real power on it. Fingers won't be enough. Get shoulder, arm, wrist, involved.
I don't know what car you have but on mine there are three screws on each headlight bulb. Some of the screws are kind of hard to reach but if I loosen them then the bulb twists right out and after I put the new one in I just tighten them a little bit to keep them in.
when that happens to me i get channel locks and break them loose. and dont use gorilla force on the channel locks. just lightly to where they grip

Try the channel locks. My dad's accord had the same problem but it didn't have the screws. He used channel locks and it worked. Just be easy on it so you don't break it.
i would only recommend that to people who don't have lubricants to do it with. i just hope you didn't tightened at the same time you were trying to break loose.
