calling all car experts... weird problem happened
so i was leaving my work on saturday after noon, holding a steady speed of 40-45mph, when all of a sudden my car stalled. it wouldnt start for hours and had to have it towed home. it wouldnt start the next day, and today i had it towed to my mechanic. it wouldnt start at the shop and the batt was low so he left it on the charger for a few hours, and later he went to start it and it started. he drove it around for a few miles and let it run for about an hour. i went to go pick it up and it still runs. any idea what it could be? btw, battery was checked when it stalled on saturday and was reading perfect voltage.
Thanks for any help

Did you do a load test on the battery? Good voltage does not mean the battery is good. Check all connections which I would think your mechanic should have done so. Stick the voltmeter on while the car is running to check for alternator charging. Check all ground for the charging system.
I had a similar issue on my 96 EX. Watch your CEL and listen for the relay click. My 96 had 2 different issues which really complicated things. First thing I did was change the main relay. Worked for a little while but then would randomly not start again. If the CEL stays on and it will not start after changing the main relay (normally once the relay cools down it will start) then I found my ECU bad.
I changed almost everything before I changed the ECU, but if I turned the key on and the CEL did not go out it would not start, even after the main relay clicked. I changed fuses, relays, ignition switch etc.
I found a used ECU, same exact number for 100 bucks.
Edit..... After reading your post again I noticed it stalled going down the highway. When my 91 EX did that I changed the distributor and that fixed it.
