While were on topic.....

-would porting out the stock TB have any noticable increases in HP?

And not so related......

-I have been told that the stock intake manifold should not be ported/pollished in any way. It needs the texture of the manifold to help with fuel disspersion.....

Is that correct?

Really? That sucks. My IM is wayyy bumpy on the inside, it looks like one of those rooms in a recording studio with all the pointy acoustic foam
So getting it extrude honed or something wouldn't be good?

I would say no because, the fuel is not mixed or really even touched by the manifold. I ported my factory one out and had an engine builder test it back to back with a ITR manifold and also against a stock SI manifold the flow numbers numbers were almost the same.

Now a JG is a very different story...

I have a bullfrog(gude) it worked well for a year or 2 but has since gotten sticky when shut. I think it's 68mm.

So what do you guys suggest for 350-400 whp? Stock? or is it worth upgrading with high boost?

Edelbrock 65mm. It works jsut as well as the factory peice.

so stock tb is better then a bore tb? i was thinking about buying a 70mm tb from a zc motor to go onto my turbo ls. so is it worth getting it? let me know he's selling it to me cheap.. if it matters i tring to built my ls to put put out 500hp for drag use.
