Default Accord or Prelude trans for autocross?

Im new to the import world. I have a 94 eg hatch. A couple weeks ago i paid i mechanic in so cal to H swap my civic. Needless to say one of the biggest mistakes i have made in my life. Since getting my car back after a near 30 days the mechanic had my car i told myself i will learn how to do work on my car myself. Anyways im eventually planning to rebuild my car from top bottom and set her up for autocrossing. That being said looking for a little advice on what transmission to run so i can get the best gear ratio possible for racing. Any help will be much appreciated hoping to hear from the honda gods shortly

I'm hoping you're going to get more answers; I'm NOT an experienced source for your question, but I have some thoughts to share. I have an accord that I'm thinking of autocrossing, so I want to follow this discussion.

The H engine is biased for higher rpm, so I would think a lower gear ratio like the H transmission would work better with the engine that it matches.

The Accord engine like my F23 is a lower rpm, higher torque engine, and the transmission has taller gears to match. This may be an advantage in autocross if it allow you to shift less, but it might keep your engine at a lower rpm where it doesn't make as much torque.
